I'll Thankfully Praise You

Lord, I come to You as this new day doth start...
I'm ashamed of myself for breaking Your heart.
I certainly haven't behaved like Christ would do
So, my thoughts and attitudes I yield to You.
Lord, do a mighty work in this heart of mine
Because I desire to have a heart like Thine!
I'm such a failure when I stumble and fall
And I feel so weary, helpless, and small.
I'm asking for mercy and forgiveness too.
Please provide me the grace to carry me through.
While humbly kneeling here at your feet
Your precious LOVE is so tender and sweet;
My body is refreshed, my spirit lifted high
And I'll thankfully praise You till evening is nigh!
