God is the Mighty Creator. He gives life and He take life. We can't control this...
From our human vantage point - we can go through all the emotions, like
stated in the poem "My Struggle With Loss" and we can be utterly miserable
and become totally incapable of picking up the pieces of our broken heart
and going on with our life..
If we take that approach: What does it profit us? Will we feel better?
Will it bring our loved one back?. The answers to those questions are sure
to tell us the wrong attitude only makes us feel worse and we literally
harm ourselves while making those around us very uncomfortable.
By viewing LOSS from God's perspective, with His help, we can work our
way through the whole thing. We can also gain PEACE, and a closer and sweeter
relationship with JESUS.
God designed everyone with an empty spot in their heart. (a need or
craving). He did this so we would finally realize that ONLY HE can fill
that craving. Some folks spend years and oodles of money on homes, cars,
boats, vacations and other things, trying to satisfy that inner thirst.
But all material things they have,or hope to have, won't satisfy their whims.
Some folks lean on alcohol or drugs trying to satisfy yearning or to
numb the feeling of the EMPTY SPOT left behind after loosing a loved one.
But the truth is: Only JESUS can FILL that Empty Spot and satisfy our yearnings!
Remember God promised He won't ever allow us to endure more than we can handle
(with His help of course). JESUS is the answer for EVERYTHING.. But it sometimes
takes most of us a near life time to discover this!
Isn't God very patient with us? For years He's been silently waitingfor us to call on Him for help... Yes, He wants to come and reside in our heart through His Holy Spirit! He wants to be allowed to be our MASTER as well as our Savior.. He wants to be
the One in control of our life.
If WE are in control the Lord won't go against our free will (wishes, plans & choices.)
Therefore we are literally standing in HIS way of arranging His divine plan of An
Abundant Life for us. John 10:10-b. You've heard the old saying. "We are our own worst
enemy!" In this situation it sure seems to be true. He needs full control so He can
shower us with His abundant blessings. When we give Him full control He can arrange what He
knows is BEST for us.
We're like a student pilot trying to fly an airplane that's about to crash. He yells,
"HELP" but he won't turn loose of the controls so the instructor can't be of much help.
We yell to God, "HELP!" but we're hanging onto the controls and God won't go
against our free will. We must submit full CONTROL to Him before He can literally
turn our life around.
Are you miserable? If you are; maybe you'd like to read my other poem:
